BIOS settings to clock 2000 on evga P55?

    I think one of the sticks was dying/has died. my bios is only seeing 2040 MB now after a few days running at the higher ratings. I did a CMOS reset to ensure it wasn't something caused by the different settings tweaks. Still boots with only 2040. Nothing I do in the bios in the various settings can get it to show all 4GB in bios system info screen--- various settings changes (mainly the timings/clock speed) respond in windows 7 as either 4GB (1.99 usable) when i have it at 9-9-9-27, or it just thinks there is only 2.00 GB and has no usable number after it if it is on lower numbers/clock speeds. could this all mean one of the sticks is faulty? the windows memory test gave no errors at all

      looks like my slot 1 is just flat out faulty. evga support recommend testing if it will boot with just one module in slot 1. EA post code with either. another user has experienced same fault as a DOA, with RMA the board as the final solution.
