  • Trident Z RGB software not working.

    Hello,

    This is my setup :

    CPU : E5-2699 V4
    MOBO : EVGA X99 Micro 2 (BIOS ver. 2.08)
    MEM. : G.Skill Trident Z 3200 128gb kit (4x32gb)
Graphics : Acer Biftost Intel Arc A770
    Storage : WD NVMe SN850X 2tb (C drive) running Windows 10 Pro
Storage : WD Red Plus HHD 10tb (D storage/backup drive)

My question is : I had an I7-6850K as CPU prior to the upgrade to the Xeon chip. Trident software worked fine, yet after the CPU change, the software won’t even post. In task manager, I can see the process using up 3-4% of the CPU, but nothing.

I've tried the bios, uninstalling and reinstalling the software to no avail.

    Help please !

    Thanks,
    Angelo

Check to see if DRAM SPD Write is enabled in BIOS. Do you have the latest BIOS version?

Yes I have bios version 2.08 on my x99 evga micro 2. I don’t see a “Dram SPD Write” in my bios.

The EVGA X99 models were indeed missing the "SPD write" switch in BIOS originally. Did they never fix that with an update?
