  • F2-8500CL5D-4GBPQ problem in Z77M-D3H

I bought a F3-2400C11D-8GXM kit to use with a Gigabyte Z77M-D3H but the system only starts with one stick installed. When I put two sticks in dual channel it doesn't starts.

when I put one stick in slot 1 and other in slot 2 the system starts but only recognizes 4 GB

Is there a way to this memories work with this motherboard?

    G.SKILL F2-8500CL5D-4GBPQ is a DDR2 kit and won't work on a DDR3 motherboard like the Gigabyte Z77M-D3H.

Edit: Does either stick work any of the four slots? This helps to find out, if it is a problem with the slots or with the modules.

F3-2400CL5D-8GXM is not a valid model number. I suppose you mean F3-2400C11D-8GXM?

Are you using the white slots? Did you try the other two slots to see if they can work better?
