Just purchase new RAM for 2 Dell Vostro 230's
new ram kits PC3 2048MBx2 F310666CL9D-4GBNS
System returns fast beep, old memory still works
Samsung PC3 1GBx2 stock Dell system.

Do you have the latest BIOS?

The computer may have a problem supporting single sided RAM. I believe all 2GB modules from G.Skill are single side now.
