    Hi all i would have two questions:

    - Better CAS at 1600 and better CAS at 1866 with this kit. Dram voltage needed? 1,65?

    - I have asus p6t deluxe v2 mainboard X58/socket 1366 (Triple Channel): would it be better 3 modules (Triple channel 3x4GB) or 4 modules (would each pair make double channel? 4x4GB)

    Thank you a lot!

    At 1600 you could probably run those at CAS 7 even below 1.65V.

    If you need more than 12GB, then 16GB is obviously better. But generally speaking three or six modules is optimal for X58.

      I do not really need more than 12 , but if i would put the four modules , did they make dual chanel x 2? or 3 memories in triple channel and the other 1 in single chanel?

      CAS7= 7-9-8-28 or better?

      I do not know if run them at 1600 or 1833 , would be the power consumption higher?

      Thank you a lot!

        The system will still be triple channel with 4 modules installed.

        DDR3-1866 power consumption is higher, or you can try DDR3-1600 C7

          Depends on the ICs used on that kit, probably around 7-9-8-24* or 7-8-(7/8)-24* at best.

          *minimum tRAS could be even lower

            And your dramm voltage in that setting?

            Thank you a lot for answering me GSKILL TECH and Emissary42

              Start at 1.65V and see if you can POST at those timings at all. If you can, lower the voltage afterwards in small steps. You will need to check for stability in between. When you start getting errors, raise the Vdimm back up one or two steps and do some longterm tests.
