  • Pairing Two Pairs of Different RAM

I currently have the Sniper series 2 x 4gb 1866mhz CL9 with timings of 9-10-9-28 and 1.5V. The model number is F3-14900CL9D-8GBSR. I just bought Sniper series 2 x 4gb 2133mhz CL9 with timings of 9-11-10-28 and 1.65V. The model number is F3-17000CL9D-8GBSR. What changes do I have to make to ensure 100% compatibility? Do I have to overclock the slower RAM or underclock the faster RAM? Should I set all the timings and voltages to the 1866mhz parameters? Thanks.

Thats the first thing i would try.

(Maybe start with the voltage a tad higher than specified, lower it afterwards if you're stable.)

Thanks for the reply. Should I set it to 1.5V then?

This is a bump because I feel that my question/s have not been answered to be best of G-Skill's ability.

What motherboard and CPU do you have? Set BIOS parameters to the DDR3-1866 kit. Hopefully both kits can match well enough for those settings. Let us know and we can progress from there.

          Thank you
