Hello,
I have been having system crashes for several months now. My build was put together in July 2011 and ran problem-free til about 6 months ago. I updated all drivers and eventually ran Memtest x86 (v 4.0) and saw that I was getting errors. I also purchased the HCI Memtest version which also gave errors. However, I noticed that the errors seemed to also coincide with monthly dust build up in the case and MB. I clean out my case very frequently because it's a HAF 932 and it brings in a LOT of dust. Before today, the dust clean out always seemed to "solve" the crash problems. Today though, a dust cleanout did NOT resolve the issues and I'm still having memory errors AFTER a thorough cleaning.
In one of my earlier visits to this forum, I found the thread that discussed the basic settings for an AMD motherboard and attempted to make some changes. I wanted to post my current settings to make sure I have things right before requesting RMA.
---CPU CONFIG---
OC Mode = Manual
CPU Freq (MHz) = 200
CPU Dynamic OC - Disabled
PCIE Freq (MHz) - 100
Spread Spectrum - auto
ASRock UCC - Disabled
CPU Actice Core Control - Disabled
AMD Turbo Core Technology - Auto
AMD IO C-State Support - Enabled
Multiplier/Voltage Change - Manual
CPU Freq Multiplier - x16.5 3300 MHz
CPU Voltage - 1.4750V
NB Freq Multiplier - x12.0 2400 MHz
CPU NB Voltage - 1.1500V
HT Bus Speed - 2400 MHz
HT Bus Width - 16 bit
DRAM Freq - DDR3-1333
---Voltage Control---
DRAM Volts - Auto
NB Volts - Auto
HT Volts - Auto
CPU Line Load Calibration - Auto
CPU VDDA Voltage - Auto
PCIE VDDA Voltage - Auto
Need to RMA or do more testing/tweaking?
Thanks!!
