Any diff between 17000CL9Q & 17000CL9D?

I'm scouting memory for a new build based on a Gigabyte UD4H socket 1150 board.

The "Memory compatibility list" lists Corsair's "F3-17000CL9Q-16GBZH" 16gb (4x4gb) kit, but it's a bit too much money for me ATM @ $170. However, I also found Corsair's "F3-17000CL9D-8GBXM" 8gb (2x4gb) kit @ $85. Same voltage & timings, but different heat spreader.

Are the modules otherwise identical or must I buy the 16gb kit listed in the MCL to achieve full speed? Thx.

The 8GB kit will work just fine. It is not Corsair RAM, it is G.Skill.

"Corsair" was a typo. I was researching DRAM and mixed up the two.
