  • A Issue with the RAM (Please Hepl !)

    I recently purchased 2 G.Skill memory modules ( F3-10600CL9S-4GBNT ) for my Asus P8H67 motherboard.
After fixing it, it will not boot up. I hear three beeps. Thats usually because a memory problem right ?

Try each one individually and see if one or both can boot by themselves, if either boots, go into the BIOS and make sure the base timings are correct, the CR is at 2T or 2N and the DRAM voltage is correct. Then shutdown, unplug and add the second stick, power up and see what happens

Power off, pull both sticks, unplug, reset the CMOS )check your manual) or pull the CMOS Battery for about 15 seconds or so (looks like a silver coin), then insert 1 stick in slot closest to CPU and firmly insert it untill the side clips lock in by themselves, plug it in power it up and try it.

If you have or can borrow other sticks try those. Hard to imagine though getting two bad ones, that neither will even boot. Sounds more like a mobo, CPU or PSU problem

I don't know what BIOS you have, and don't remember many w/ 4 beeps, except AMI, which is a system timer failure I believe, which is a chip on the mobo. You'll need to find out what BIOS it is and what theior beep codes are. If it is a RAM error code, can check if it's the sticks by trying a different one
