  • RMA? BSOD 0x000000109 GSKILL ARES

No hardware changes in past two months.

Starting two weeks ago, had BSODs. 0x000000109.

    i5 2500K @ 4GHZ, GTX 670, GSKILL Ares in XMP 1.
    EVGA SLI MICRO P67 motherboard
    win 7 64 pro
    - this configuration has been running since early august, with no bsods.

Ran memtest for 20 hours. 8 errors discovered.

Replaced with backup ballistix memory, no BSODs in burn-in, gameplay (various games), normal usage.

Ares boards were only about 3-4 months old

May have had a stick go bad, might run 4-5 passes of Memtest on each stick by itself, if both test bad then it might be something else (mobo, cpu, etc)....seldonn see two sticks going bad at the same time, so if only one stick shows errors it's prob that stick

Yep, it's just one of them... unfortunately when I took it out I forgot to label it. Now I don't know which one is bad again. I just submitted an RMA request...

while those sticks were working they were great XMP Profile did all the hard work for me.

Well let us know how it goes, and yes, XMP does make it a lot easier
