  • Recommendation for Asus Sabertooth Z77

    Hi all

I am building a new computer in a few weeks and am looking for some recommendation on what memory to use

CPU: Intel Core i7-3770K Ivy Bridge
    MB: ASUS SABERTOOTH Z77
SSD: Intel 520 Series Cherryville 120GB

    I am looking for a 32GB set

I will be using the computer for some game playing but mostly for doing software development within VM's with very larger datasets, which is the reason I need so much memory.

I am currently looking at Model F3-1600C9Q-32GXM from newegg. If someone has a better recommendation that would be great.

    Thanks all

Not sure of criteria you may be thinking (freq/price/etc), but at the price of the ones you point out, I'd go one step up freq wise and get the 1866 Snipers at the same same price - F3-1866C10Q-32GSR. This is a great set and OCs well if you have that thought for the future. Can get a better look here:

As for as criteria goes, I am looking for a good, stable and fast set. I am willing to spend at most $250
I am not planing on doing any OC at this point.

I am open to any recommendation, I am not that knowledgeable about RAM besides the basic.

Of what we've mentioned, I'd go 1) Snipers, 2) Ripjaws X and lastly the Ares (primarily because of the looser CL (10 opposed to other set with CL9)
