  • 8GB on 1066??

    Hello Guys,

I had a F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK working on 4GB Vista 64 with no problems. Yesterday I bought a brand new F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK to get 8GB on Vista 64 but I can`t get more then 6GB working. I`ve bought the same kit preventing problems.

All the 4 modules are working well and I`ve tryed all the combinations possible but doesn`t work. It only works with 3 modules (6GB). When I put the 4th memory module the sistem doesn`t go on and it stays in "detecting DDR". 6GB works fine.

I have everything in default in bios, except DDR selection on 1066. No OC.

    What`s the solution for this? I can`t get 8GB???

Motherboard: ASUS Maximus Formula II (bios version 2302)
    CPU: C2D 8500
    Memory: F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK
    Video Card : Shappire HD6870

I appreciate your help to get the 8GB working. Thks.

Couple things to get started, have you run Memtest on each stick individually to ensure all are good? Do you have the latest BIOS for the mobo? Ensure you have the spec timings loaded and that CR is at 2.....next, with 4 sticks may have increase the DRAM voltage and/or the NB voltage might start with .05 on each/either

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:
