System Information:
ASUS P5Q Pro Turbo, MB
Intel P45 DC E5400 2.7GHz, Proc
ATI Radeon HD5450, GC
(2) F26400CL6D4GBMQ DDR2 800MHz, Mem. 4MB total.
Win7U x64, OS
ThermLake 450W, PS 120 & 80 Fan.
(3) 80 Chassis Cooling fans.
DYI System, less than year old.
Ran the Windows Memory Diagnostic program and found error.
Message said to see Computer Vendor.
Ran the MemTest86+ Diagnostic program, Failed on only Test 4 w/6 errors.
Being a old Computer Systems Field Tech, ran test on each DIMM, all slots.
Each DIMM passed. Put them in together Test 4 fails, w/ 6 errors.
MB recommends DIMMs be in Slots A1, B1
Moved DIMMs to Slots A2, B2 Fails once on Test 2, and 6 times on Test 4.
MB Paramiters set for Auto, CPU at Optimized. Defaults
So my question is: Do I have 2 DIMMs that can't play nice together, or do I have one that is causing issues? Or is it a MB setting that needs to be adjusted?
Any help would be appricated.
