  • gskill f2 8500cl5d 6 gigs + asus m4n82 deluxe

Hello I am new to the forums and have a question about gskill f2 8500cl5d, I am tring to run 6 gigs of this ram at 1066 and so far all I am able to get to work at that speed is the 2 one gig all settings on auto. I cannot even get the 4 to run at 1066. All the ram runs fine at 800 and have done memtest on all sticks of ram together and seperatley with no errors. I have also tried in all the dim slots and everything runs great. so any info you can give me would be great. Here are the settings I have tried so far:

    TWR - 8 CLK
    TRRD - 4 CLK

    TWTR - 4 CLK
    TRFC0 - 127.5 (195 for 8GB, 4 sticks)
    TRFC1 - 75 (127.5 for 8GB, 4 sticks)

    DCT1:
Enter same values as above if using these slots, or if operating full slots.

    DRAM Voltage - 2.1V
    HT Voltage - 1.3V
    CPU-NB Voltage - 1.2V (1.4V for 8GB, 4 sticks)

Which particular set(s) of sticks do you have PIs, PKs....???? Checkl last 2 letters of the sticks model # though if PIs might have a '-B' also

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

Will both kits work fine seperately?

                Thank you

The 2 gigs work at ddr 800 all settings on auto and they will work at 1066 all settings auto but the 4 gigs will only work at ddr 800 not at 1066

It is more difficult to push 2GB modules. Did you test one 2GB module at a time to make sure one is not defective?

                    Thank you

Yes I did try both 1 gig sticks by themselves and they both worked at 800 and at 1066 I did the same for the 2 gig sticks and both worked at ddr 800 but not at 1066

Right, like I said, you may need to raise CPU-NB Voltage and/or HT Voltage to stabilize DDR2-1066.
Another option is to send the memory in for replacements to see if the new kit works better.

                          Thank you

ok how much should I raise nb to and the ht to?

                              CPU-NB +0.1V and HT Voltage +0.3V

Your CPU may only need one or the other, so you will want to try them independently first.

                              Thank you
