  • Low/Medium WEI subscore for F3-12800CL7D-4GBRM

    Hello,

    I have the following build:

    CPU - Intel Core i3-530 @ 2.93Ghz, slight OC to 3.2 Ghz
    Motherboard - Gigabyte H55M-USB3 rev 1.0
    Memory - F3-12800CL7D-4GBRM
    Video - EVGA GTX 460
    OS - Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit

I ran the WEI assessment on my PC and was disappointed to find that my memory has the same subscore of 5.9 as my hard drive(Seagate 500gb barracuda). I am currently running the memory using XMP Profile 1 settings(7-8-7-24). I know some setups have been able to get higher WEI scores with this kit. Looking for some insights on how to tweak the performance or is my hardware limiting the performance of this memory? Thanks.

BTW the rest of my WEI scores are as follows

    CPU - 6.9
    Graphics - 7.1

    todo,

I wouldn't put much into those WEI scores. If you want a good benchmark(s) of your memory latency and read-write-copy bandwidth use either Everest or SiSoft Sandra.

Much more reliable benchmarking programs with relevant results.

It is common for the i3 and i5 CPUs to show a lower WEI score for memory. Run a benchmark test such as Everest to confirm the memory is operating to it's speed, if so, it should be fine.

Whoops, just noticed I repeated some of what wevsspot said..

      Thank you
