A mem test is showing up clean but I am getting bsod

    I am setting at 1600 9-9-9-24 1.5v 2T and 40

    here is my equipment.

ASUS M4A77TD AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard
    4 sticks for total of 8gb G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model

    AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor

Please let me know what settings I should use; including TRC and if I should change something else for my cpu?

    THANKS

    NB Voltage 1.30V
    HT Voltage 1.20V

Let me know how that goes.

    Thank you

THe voltages I can set are:

      cput over voltage,
      vddnb over voltage

      ht over voltage
      memory over voltage.

      Which are you referring to?

also minimum for ht over voltage is 1.25
and vddnb voltage starts all the way down at 0.8 and when i get to above 1.1 the text turns yellow for a warning.

      thanks

Set HT OverVoltage 1.40V and see if that helps.

I cannot manually set below 1.5v. I have set that voltage to automatic and will report back after a few days.

I have not had a blue screen today and have been running a lot of programs including installs; and usually that would trigger it.

          Hopefully I remain stable.

I am now getting BSODs now every few hours.

Can I get a return on this ram? unfortunately I bought this back on april 13th.

If not, please give me some suggestions to get this to be stable.

            thanks

I found another post with my same motherboard.

My setup is the same except I'm set at 1600 for the DRAM frequency.

              here are the options:

              Please help, thanks.

I know the options, I want to see if you set them right or if anything is detected incorrectly.

HT OverVoltage 1.40V NOT Memory Over Voltage.

You can always send them in for new replacements, lifetime warranty, so that is not a problem.

                Thank you

My HT over voltage only goes up to 1.385, so I set it to that.

I have been running now without BSOD for a while so I hope that works. I will report back if it comes back, as I have not been using my computer too much but will be this week. I did run mem test for about 20 hours without any problems either.

I wanted to update in case anyone else is searching on this post

I guess I spoke too soon. 3 BSODs in the last hour.

Please advise further settings; this is getting very annoying.

Increase VDDNB Voltage +0.1V and that should help.

Or set the DRAM Frequency to DDR3-1333 with 8-8-8-24 timings and this should be just as fast without instability.

                      Thank you

                        Another 2 Blue screens today.

My HT over voltage only goes to 1.385 so thats what I set it to.

                        Also as a summary,

                        my dram freq is 1600
                        mem over voltage is 1.5
                        tcl is 9 clk
                        trcd is 9 clk
                        trp is 9 clk
                        tras is 24 clk

My DRAM command rate is set to auto as well as trtp, trc, twr, and trrd.

                        Please advise.

Your 770 chipset may not be able to stabilize 8GB at DDR3-1600, try DDR3-1333 8-8-8-24 and that should work fine.

                          Thank you

Do you have the latest BIOS for the motherboard? Have you tested each module individually?

                              Thank you
