  • F3-12800cl9d-4gbnq problems!!

    Hi,

We are a computer shop and have been using G-SKILL F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ modules in both 2x2GB and 4x2GB configurations for the past 6 months with only occasional problems.

We use Gigabyte P55A-UD3 MOBOs mainly with different VGA cards and PSUs.

The problem we are having now is in the last 5 or 6 computers we have built we have had MAJOR RAM ERRORS. We have tried about 10 sets of this RAM and MEMTEST & PRIME95 fail inconsistently multiple times with many different sticks.

We have tried manual aswell as auto settings, 9-9-9-24 1.5V, 1333MHz & 1600MHz, XMP or manually set multipliers. Also we have tried 1.4 to 1.7 Volts.

The MOST CONFUSING / FRUSTRATING part of this whole process is that when we run a MEMTEST and it fails, we re-seat the RAM and try it again, then it DOESN'T FAIL. Then we can re-seat it again and it FAILS!!! But in a different place to last time!

This is the worst memory issue we have ever encountered in our 10 years in business and we are considering trying other brands of RAM and also other MOBOs, as this seems to be a problem not easily fixable or diagnosable.

PLEASE HELP, AS WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF OPTIONS!

    Thanks, Prototech.

sorry for the inconvenience. We have called Gigabyte and told them this issue. We are now working together to see if there is any bios issue which causes the unstability problem.
Did you try one stick at one time. Was it work fine ?

I had exactly the same problem with this memory also with a Gigabyte board. I have some replacement ram on the way, but I am dreading that the errors will be repeated with the replacement ram.

Did you ever solve the problem?

        Guys,
It's not just Gigabyte boards. This issue is happening to many people with Asus and MSI boards too. As far as I can tell, it's faulty RAM. I thought it was perhaps my motherboard, but these issues are happening with too many people. My RMA is going out today. I hope my new RAM actually works, or I'm going to be out $110 dollars plus whatever it costs to ship this RAM back for the second time......
