I have tried 2 MOBO's with no long term success. I first tried an MSI X48C Platinum. I had many issues and after months of troubleshooting I switched to a new board. I purchased a slightly lower end ASROCK P45X3 Deluxe. I am only wanting stock speeds. With everything default I can install Windows 7 / Vista with poor operating results. Some things work most are glitchy and freeze a few seconds here and there. I work for an OEM systembuilder and feel very comfortable with Mem timings and BIOS settings. I can pass MEMTEST86+ 4.00 with no errors as well as the bootable windows memory diagnostic. CPUZ reports info concurrent with the BIOS. I have tried everything including the manual settings I have seen here in the forum. Currently have everything to AUTO can boot to Vista 32 Bit with frustrating results.

What type of problems are you experiencing? Try testing each module individually to see if one acts differently than the other.

Both sticks failing MEMTEST86+ 4.00

I have had many issues including system slowdowns, freezes and paused reaction times. I also have had intermittent trouble booting multiple OS's. I tested both sticks individually and I think I have found the problem. I was not running MEMTEST86+ long enough. I ran each stick individually (24 Hours each) and had failures on both. One in 1900 MB range one in the 2400 MB range. I guess I just need to RMA this memory.

Depends... do you have your CPU FSB overclocked to 1600? This is necessary for this memory package since your default CPU FSB is 1333MHz, only good for DDR3-1333.

I have tried every possible setting.

I have tried every possible setting. I have tried the auto XMP settings which auto adjusts the CPU overclock from 2.66 to 3.16. Some people are OC'in this CPU by 1 GHz so I don't think it is is CPU related. ASRock has a flexibility option to make the board more compatible with mem and I have tried that too. Please follow the link to my pictures. This shows my current setting which will not boot. I have tried the default which works best but only runs the mem @ 1333 and still has many problems. I have done the auto and manual overclock with no luck. I have tried the mem voltage at stock which shows 1.9 but with no luck I tried 1.589 and 1.61 respectively. Did not seem to matter.

Do you have the latest BIOS for the motherboard?

There are no settings regarding CPU FSB in the pictures, so I still don't know if that may be the issue.

Tried them all...

I have tried all 4 BIOS revisions. The newest which is 1.4 did not work well at all so I went back to 1.3. I could not even start install media with 1.4. The last 4 pictures did not upload for some reason but I manually added them please recheck the last 4. I have tried every setting there.

I am aware of that...

I am aware of the CPU frequency. I have tried all options. I tried 400. I really dont need OC so 1333 would be fine if it were stable. And the spec sheet shows 1333 should run fine and the mobo uses the SPD of the memory in that mode. However I also tried adjusting to 9-9-9-24-40 ... Does not matter. please know the pics are just to show what my BIOS is like, not the current settings. The system does not boot at all in this mode.

DDR3-1333 with 8-8-8-24 timings should work just fine.

Still fails... Tried it already...

If you don't have anything special about this memory to tell me then I think we need to set up an RMA. We tried 2 boards with the same config and multiple techs looking at it I'm sure this memory is bad. I know that 8-8-8-24 should work and have tried it in 1333 mode. Can't even boot to install media, OS, or MEMTEST with those settings. The memory is bad and fails in 2 different motherboards individually using MEMTEST.

Yes, I sure.

I upgrade 1.20 to 1.40 (latest) and I probe 1.30. Impossible install any OS.
