  • F2-8500CL5D-4GBPI + M4A78-E + Phenom II X4 965. 1066Mhz Bios settings help?

Bios is updated to version 1601. When set to 800mhz everything is fine when all settings are on auto.
Tried 1066 with auto settings and many settings what i readed from this forum, machine starts no bsod and few programs refuses to work but gaming is pain in the ***. few minutes and memory errors occur.

When at 800 superpi and memtest gives no errors, but 1066 no hope for working.

So i would i like to know what are optimal settings for bios to operate at 1066 or most fastest way.

    Thanks in advance =)

No good. still Errors and random crashes.

Altough cant find every aspect of those settings in my bios.

twr - auto 5 6 reserved 8. changed to auto.

      trwtto,twrrd,twrwr,trdrd,and tref,no such options.

Have you tested the sticks individually in slot 1?

          Tested,same deal,800 mhz no prob,1066mhz errors,even in the superpi.

Still something i should try? Or will i call the place where i bought memories and ask for a refund,of course you guys could send me another modules to try, just to be on the safe side =)

I understand that getting every component work perfectly is pain in the a**,but i would be happy to get what i paid for =(

Btw,just wondering, theres a menu for ecc in my mobo, should i play with that?

Too happy too soon. when gaming still random crashes, now even the bsod:s. What's next?

tried different games different setups, crashes are totally random.

Post up some BIOS screen shots so we can see if you are missing anything or have anythings et incorrectly, otherwise try testing each stick individually to see if one stick causes an error while the other does not. You can also use memtest to check.

                    Thank you

While doing that might raise the vCore a bit, that'll give the MC a little more power

As i said before,i have tested the modules separately, together, different places.

the problem here is that with these settings superpi, hyperpi and memtest goes on without errors.

and what comes to the bios settings trust me,they are just like you have stated here. Checked, doublechecked and even triplechecked.

The main problem is here that everything works at 800 perfectly, with 1066 these errors, crashes, and bsod's seem random.

                          Try

                          tRTP - 3-5
                          tRC - 42
                          tWR - 8
                          tRRD - 4

Let me know how that goes.

                          Thank you

This is getting frustrating, crashes occur randomly even now.

and the magic trick what we try next is?

So DDR2-1066 with each stick gives you errors? Try memtesting each one at DDR2-1066, you may have a slightly bad stick that has issues with DDR2-1066.

                              Thank you
