Compatible yes, will prob want an 8350 to run at 1866

yup I have an 8350 it works flawlessly at 1866mhz 1.55v 10-11-10-30

but I got it to run at 10-10-10-27 1.55v stable with memtest and prime95.

lower timings better?

Lower overall timings provide a slight increase in performance, the first timing the CL (CAS latency) provides the biggest boost, also if all good at stock timings might try a little extra DRAM voltage (about + 0.05) and try dropping the CR (Command Rate/Timing) from 2N/2T to 1N/1T
