  • Running F3-12800CL9T-6GBNQ modules at 1333 or 1600 possible on X58A-UD3R mobo?

Installed the G.Skill modules and manually set the timing to 9,9,9,24 (default was 7,7,7,20 and the system was unstable). The RAM is still running at 1066. I am wondering what BIOS settings I can change to get this to 1600 or at least 1333. OC'ing is an option. Thanks in advance!

    Specs
    CPU: Intel Core i7-930 2.8GHz LGA 1366
    MOBO: GIGABYTE X58A-UD3R
    RAM: G.SKILL 12800CL9T-6GBNQ DDR3-1600
    Hyper 212 Plus Cooler Master
    OCZ GameXStream 850 PSU

    Should look something like this:

    In MIT (MB Intelligent Tweaker):

    CPU Clock Ratio - 21x
    QPI Link Speed - AUTO
    Base Clock Control - Enabled
    BCLK Frequency - 133
    Performance Enhance - Standard
    Extreme Memory Profile - Disabled
    System Memory Multiplier - 12

    DRAM Timing Selectable - Manual

    CAS Latency Time - 9
    tRCD - 9
    tRP - 9
    tRAS - 24

Enter these for the other three as well.

    Channel A Timing Settings

    Advanced Timings
    Command Rate - 2

    DRAM Voltage - 1.500V
    Rest to AUTO

    Thank you

      Thanks for your help!

I believe my problems were actually caused by the heat sink being secured too tightly. After loosening the heat sink, the RAM and core issues I was having have gone away. My system is up and running, and actually OC'd to 3.6Ghz and stable.
