Hi all and thank you very much for helping me entering the community (MODS)
I bought the following stuff used (but still on warranty)
Gigabyte X79-UD3 and GSKILL Ripjaws Z 4x4GB 2400
I don't like at all the GB mainboars (i never did).
I was hoping to buy the Asrock Xtreme9 but i decided to build a cheap x79 platform system and while the platform also carries 1.5 since the release.
Anyway. It's impossible for the Gigabyte mobo to boot at any speed beyond 1866MHZ
with or without the XMP enabled. I had 2 GSKILL sticks (RipJaws X 2133 - 9-11-10-28)
and with these (2x4GB KIT) the UD3 mobo boots fine at 2133 with XMP enabled.
I don't know what should i try more for the RipJaws Z kit.
While this kit works flawlessly on the Z68ITX mobo with Pentium G2020 (while using 2 of 4 sticks) and clocks perfectly at 2400MHz via XMP and also on my Asrock Fm2 ITX A85 with A6-5600K at 2400MHz can't wotk at all on the X79 mobo.
I tried adjusting everything regarding the voltage in multiple steps. No luck. Any help appreciated.
Thanks.
